Yr 7 Catch up

The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives state funded schools, including special schools, additional funding to support year 7 pupils who did not achieve the expected standard in reading or maths at the end of key stage 2 (KS2).

Due to their special educational needs all the Yr7 students at Stone Bay fall into this group.

Where this is the case schools receive an additional £500 per student. This additional funding can be used to pay for: individual tuition, intensive small-group tuition, external services and materials e.g. such as computer-based learning resource to support students to catch up over a short period of time.

At the end of the year we will provide information on the impact of the grant.
